FAQs
Why Triple C?
We are the only licensed Day Camp in Charlottesville with a private facility. We know exactly who is at camp at all times to ensure the safety of our campers. All of our campers get to swim in our private pools multiple times each week. Our horse programs invite campers to interact with horses from a young age. And our high-quality staff comes from all over the world to share their culture with our campers. Camp is what we do, and we do it well.
Why are K-3rd grade campers (Pioneers & Trailblazers) separated by gender?
It is helpful for girls and boys at younger ages to be in peer groups that are similar to their own. This allows them to learn about themselves before they can learn about each other. This is facilitated with similar gender staff where the girls and boys can be themselves to learn how to be a better friend and make new friends. In addition, as we change clothes during the camp day, single gender groups allow for this process to be more efficient.
What is the refund protection policy?

If something comes up, we work on it with the campers and also involve parents. Please call if interested in more information on this topic. We are happy to chat anytime!

How does Triple C Camp address bullying?
Triple C Camp’s mission ensures that, “…everyone learns about themselves as well as working with others, all while creating lifelong memories.” To help achieve our mission, we take incidents of bullying seriously and train staff to intervene immediately, keep everyone safe and model respectful behavior when intervening. If an incident of bullying is communicated, we work in partnership with all parties to resolve the situation. Do you provide lunch and snacks?
Campers will need to bring a lunch and at least two snacks with them to camp each day. Every lunchbox must be labeled with first and last name as well as the date to be eaten. This can be done on a sticker, label, piece of masking tape, index card, etc. Food will be eaten with camp program groups. Food may be eaten indoors or out. Lunch items will be “leave no trace” with pack in and pack out principles. This means meal or snack trash will be sent home so families can see what has been consumed. We suggest adding in a cold pack if there are items that need to stay cool throughout the day. In the event a camper does not bring their lunch, camp will provide one and a $10 charge will be added to and processed on the family account.
