Camp Life
Everyone wants to know what the living conditions at camp are like. As former counselors ourselves, we think life at Triple C Camp is pretty great, in fact, we live at camp year-round. Counselors live together in cabins. Communal living is an essential part of the experience. We feel that living on site does allow for our staff to take ownership of the program and facility. Through setting up special programs for the campers, and helping prepare the facility for the next day or week ahead our on site staff make a HUGE impact on the camp program.
Our staff cabins have bunk beds. There are bathrooms in the cabins and showers too. There is electricity, running water and dresser space for everyone. We also have a staff lounge equipped with fridge, WIFI, microwave, TV/DVD, stereo, exercise equipment, and comfy furniture for hangin’ out! CAMP IS SMOKE FREE!
There is a staff phone available for local calls as well as long distance using a calling card. Our pools, fields, courts, animals, trails and buildings are available for staff enjoyment during their time off. We transport staff with a short trip to town for laundromat use.
Surrounding Area
Charlottesville has a variety of malls, museums, theaters, restaurants, historical sites like Thomas Jefferson’s home Monticello, and is also the home to the University of Virginia. There are always lots of things going on for counselors to experience. The University also graciously allows staff access to the internet in their state of the art computer labs in the libraries. Camp vehicles are available for shuttling staff to and from town for laundry, library, stores, movies, malls and more.
