Information For Parents
Triple C Camp is about adventure, friendship, fun, discovery, and challenge. It is a safe place where independence is fostered and trying new things is encouraged.
We believe in the "Challenge by Choice" philosophy. Our staff are trained to encourage all campers to participate in all programs offered. However, some campers do not feel comfortable in all settings - at Triple C they have the option to participate, observe their group, or make special arrangements with the Director's consent. The activities are designed with the campers in mind so that all can have a fun, safe summer.
Flexibility is the key word in camping. We know that families have busy lives, so we try to be accommodating to all families needs. If we do not offer something that you would like, please ask so we can help. Campers can choose one week sessions, and from four pick up/drop off locations throughout Charlottesville, or you are welcome to transport your child to and from camp.
Transportation is provided in Triple C vehicles, school buses or appropriate multi-passenger vehicles. All drivers are licensed and experienced. Pick up points have traditionally been Barracks Road Shopping Center, Fashion Square Mall, Pantops and Piedmont Virginia Community College. Choose what works best for your family.
Lunch and snack menus meet USDA guidelines. We serve food that is nutritious and that kids like to eat. Lunches will include items such as: pizza, chicken fingers, hot dogs, burgers, and spaghetti. Peanut butter and jelly is always available.
Visit Triple C on any camp day and as often as you wish. Families are invited to observe or play along with your child(ren). All visitors must report to the camp office, sign in, and receive a visitors badge.
Registration of campers is based on space availability. Campers are placed in groups based on gender, grade, length of enrollment, program choice and friendship requests. Aside from the registration form, which you can print right from this website, each camper will be required to have a current physician signed medical form, immunization form, and proper identification on file before the camp season begins.
Extra attention is offered to Triple C campers with tutoring and private lessons at competitive rates. Tutoring is available for all fundamentals and many languages. Supplemental classes taught by our specialists are offered after camp hours in horseback riding, swimming and "One on One" sports lessons. Call Triple C for more information about tutoring or special classes. 434.293.2529.
